The Governing Council of Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies, Ilorin requires;





-          He is the Chief Executive and Academic Head of the College and the Chairman of the Academic Board

-          Accountable for the implementation of the policy decisions of the Council as well as the day-to-day administration of the College

-          Secure and sustain the support of the Government, Public Sector, Private Sector, Educational Institutions and Professional Bodies for the College and its products



-          Excellent academic leadership, administrative experience, vision and drive

-          At least Masters degree from a recognized University

-          Doctorate degree will be an advantage

-          At least 15 years post qualification teaching/research experience in an institution of higher learning and must be presently not below the rank of a Chief Lecturer or equivalent position in any tertiary institution. Administrative experience in tertiary institution is added advantage

-          Experience must be related to relevant subjects offered in the College

-          Track record of accomplishment in the academic/public service

-          Ability to command national and international respect particularly in the academic world and which would enhance good reputation of the College



The Salary and Allowance attached to the post are consolidated, attractive and in conformity with what is payable to Chief Executive of Kwara State owned tertiary institutions.


Appointment shall be made to Nigerians only.


Tenure of Office is for Five (5) years single tenure.


Other conditions of service are as applicable to the Provost in the College conditions of service as may be amended from time to time by the appropriate authorities
