1) CLINICAL NURSES (3 NURSES PER SITE- TOTAL OF 12 NURSES): Closing Date – 25th February, 2013
Job descriptions:
Provide health talks to women presenting at the IHVN STC clinic
Sensitize women on cervical cancer screening and breast cancer screening
Explain cervical cancer and breast cancer screening procedures to clients
Obtain informed consent from all participants in the program
Conduct a general physical examination, abdominal examination and gynaecological examination on all clients
Document examination findings accurately in the appropriate data collection tools ensuring that quality of data is maintained.
Conduct a clinical breast examination for breast cancer screening
Perform cervical cancer screening using the Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid SOP
Treat detected cervical lesions that are eligible for treatment using the Cold Coagulator according to the existing SOP
Referral of cases that cannot be satisfactorily resolved in the screening clinic to the appropriate specialists
Keep accurate records in designated registers
Daily decontamination of materials used in the cervical cancer screening program.
Daily decontamination of surfaces in screening clinic and the entire screening clinic, in general.
Utilize distance consultation forums available for assistance with diagnosis.
Qualifications and Experience:
Nursing degree (BN Sc., Registered midwife, Registered Nurse).
Minimum of 2 years working experience
Technical and Behavioral Competencies:
Working knowledge of current HIV/AIDS guidelines for prevention, treatment , care and support of adults
Good working knowledge of gynecological examination
Ability to multitask as well as work with discretion and minimal supervision
Good team spirit
Good counseling skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Report writing
Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative

Work with site staff, site focal persons and IHVN staff to effectively address operational challenges (including lab equipment breakdowns, pharmacy stock-outs, staffing shortages, training needs, commodity supply).
Facilitate communication, collaboration, task-sharing and teamwork among clinic staff.
Performing Quality Improvement and program evaluation, monitoring and administrative support.
The Program officer will carry out other duties as assigned.
Qualification:
MBBS, BMChM, or MD
At least 2 to 3 years of post-NYSC.
Experience in HIV/AIDS Care, TB Care, and Malaria program, with special emphasis on HIV/TB Co-infection.
Significant program experience in Reproductive and Child Health, HIV/AIDS Programs, IMCI, and health systems strengthening in Nigeria
Experience managing, supervising and teaching medical and nursing staff.

Actualize various strategies at the national to facility level according to program component area.
Execute component area strategies through mentoring, supervision and technical assistance to local partners in-country.
Participate in USG, FMoH and other external partner technical meetings, as assigned.
Attend technical, expanded leads, program area, departmental and regional meetings
Provide feedback, progress update, performance achievement and analysis as warranted
Meet the project management, financial reporting, and program area performance measurement requirements.
Qualification:
MBBS, BMChM, or MD
At least 3 to 5 years clinical experience in managing HIV/AIDS Care, TB Care, and Malaria program.
More than 5 years experience in clinical care of TB/HIV co-infection.

Run verification checks and validation checks on all data entered into the computer software
Ensure all forms are appropriately stored in a confidential and secure manner
Qualifications and Experience:
A degree or diploma in health information management or data management or other related disciplines (HND, or B.Sc)
2 years relevant work experience
