LAWYER JOBS VACANCY IN NIGERIA IN A LEADING NEWSPAPER 2013

A leading newspaper in Nigeria seeks;

 

  1. GENERAL COUNSEL

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

-          Examine for legal implications advertisement and other such materials/documents meant for publication

-          Manage relationships with external solicitors

-          Provide internal legal advisory services

-          Broad range of corporate professional services

-          Provide services as required from time to time

-          Provide legal advice on agreement/memorandum of understanding/contracts

-          Ensure compliance with various statutory requirements of the law and monitor changes in regulatory environment

 

REQUIREMENTS

-          First degree in Law

-          Additional qualification in mass communication or higher degree is a plus

-          At least 8 years post call experience

-          Experience in a media firm is a plus

-          Excellent knowledge of law of libel

-          Computer literate

-          Between the ages of 30 to 45 years
