Vacancies: Maintenance Manager, Administrative/Human Resource Manager

 

Our client is a growing and Leading Dredging Firm that specializes in sand mining, dredging, reclamation, shore protection and canalization and, is currently expanding info Oil/gas and Aviation industries. With business operations and offices in Bayelsa State and Abuja, Nigeria, our client is looking at increasing its workforce in line with the changing trends in its operating environment. As a result, our client is currently seeking to engage the services of dynamic, intelligent and knowledgeable individuals to fill the following vacancies/ positions:

 

Position: Maintenance Manager

 

Summary of Duties:

  • Engage in the maintenance and management of all plants and heavy-duty machineries.
  • Coordinate major equipment maintenance, to prevent downtime with dredging equipment and other heavy-duty caterpillar, Iveco and MAN Diesel equipment to minimize lost production.
  • Provide expertise in mechanical and electrical issues
  • Monitor actual maintenance against targets and take corrective action
  • Assist in determining and forecasting resource requirements
  • Manage interfaces with supply and service agreements to ensure resource availability
  • Control costs through effective maintenance planning and scheduling and ongoing monitoring of expenditure.
  • Assist with planning and implementing project improvements and expansions.
  • Track, analyze and improve key maintenance parameters
  • Direct, maintain and enforce the safety program of the company
  • Prepare reports, analyze data, and recommend improvements
  • Initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
  • Manage personnel and staffs and other resources of workshop and maintenance department.
  • Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement
  • To provide advice and recommendation to the Chief Operating Officer on maintenance activities and to manage all plant mechanical issues and ensure preventive maintenance control at the plant.

 

Competencies:

  • Ability to lead and develop teams
  • Ability to demonstrate efficient mentoring skills
  • Exposure to project work and plant improvements would also be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills
  • Strong experience in leading and mentoring teams and contractors within an oil and gas and construction activity
  • A proven record in cost control and budget management
  • Experience in: setting and monitoring goals; establishing operational and maintenance strategies and priorities; and communicating objectives.
  • Effective data analysis and trending skills
  • Must be an experience mechanic

 

Minimum Qualification/Experience:

  • Candidates must have B.Sc. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 year’s experience within a similar role with bias for practical mechanical repair/works

 

 

Position: Administrative/Human Resource Manager

 

Summary of Duties:

  • Recruiting & staffing
  • Performance management, appraisals and systems improvement
  • Management of store and procurement
  • Compensation and benefits administration
  • Organizing training for staffs
  • Employee safety, welfare, wellness and satisfaction

 

Minimum Qualification/Experience:

  • Degree in Business Management or Social Science or Art
  • Professional Certificate is added advantage
  • 5 years and above working experience in any relevant industry.

  • Smart with very good analytical skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills
