Vacancies: Head of Procurement, HR Manager, Business Development Manager


A Nigerian Oil and Gas Services Company is looking to fill some vacancies on some upcoming construction and installation projects. We are looking for technically proficient, highly motivated and adaptable individuals, who can work within a team structure and deliver results set by the Management and project team


Position: Head of Procurement (USG 007)


Region/Location: Warri, Port Harcourt and Lagos



  • Coordinate all procurement activities for the company
  • Ensure compliance by all staff with Company’s procurement policies and procedures.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for Management on matters relating to procurement.
  • Maintain detailed procurement data for corporate, project and departmental budget analysis.
  • Ensure commercial benchmark, excellence and value for money in all procurement activities.
  • Ensure timely analysis of tenders and make sure commercial decisions are based on total life cycle cost.
  • Ensure purchase order terms and conditions are fit for purpose.
  • Maintain commodity knowledge and experience in terms of standards, specifications and supply sources.
  • Provide commercial advice to Commercial Director and team members.
  • Responsible for the regular review, as may be required of the Procurement Standard Operating Procedure


Knowledge, Skills & experience      

  • University degree with a minimum of 7 years related working experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity in the oil and gas industry
  • Master degree or professional certification in Supply Chain Management an added advantage
  • Demonstrated conceptual and practical understanding of material and equipment procurement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook), Networking Applications and web based applications
  • Experience in the use of ERP solution systems, preferably with SAGE



Position: HR Manager (USG 008)


Region/Location: Warri, Port Harcourt and Lagos



  • Establish a recruiting and interviewing process in line with company policies. Conducting and assisting candidate interviews, while maintaining and updating job requirements, benefits and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Develop a company appraisal and development policy and plan is in place for all employees. Ensure employees have a training plan that is linked to the business goals and objectives.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Ensures current professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Implement appropriate communication tools and systems to ensure effective flow of information including employee opinion surveys
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization and multicultural/international environments.


Knowledge, Skills & experience      

  • Minimum of first degree in Social Sciences or equivalent specialization in HR management Minimum of five years in similar position in an Oil and Gas environment with CIPM certification.
  • Experience in cases of: Human Resources Management, Benefits Administration, Performance Management, Communication Processes, Compensation and Wage Structure, Supports Diversity and Employment Law
  • Proven ability to communicate and to apply interpersonal / organizational skills in order to obtain the cooperation of others as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications (PowerPoint, Excel Word, and Outlook) Networking Applications and web based applications.


Position: Business Development Manager (USG 009)


Region/Location: Warri, Port Harcourt and Lagos



  • Responsible for identifying business opportunities that match the Corporate Strategy of the company, evaluating tenders and forwarding recommendation and solutions to management.
  • Develop new business relations and present Company to potential and new customers.
  • Actively manage client’s relationships and represent Company at events, conferences and tradeshows.
  • Ensure that the Company remains proactive and responsive to prospective clients.
  • Ability to work side by side with the customer to understand their business objectives and deliver performance targets through effective relationship management.
  • Establish a proactive communication style in line with client requirements.
  • Ability to influence and share vision at all organizational levels with strong negotiating and networking skills.
  • Excellent customer service relationship builder with a passion for providing first class customer service.


Knowledge, Skills & experience      

  • Bachelor degree in any field with a minimum of 6 years experience in a similar role in the oil and Gas industry, with at least 3 years in a senior supervisory position
  • Strong communication skills (strong writing and grammar skills).
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office suite applications.
  • Ability to prepare and make technical reports and presentation.
  • Working knowledge of industry’s standards and practices
  • Masters degree in Business Administration would be a strong added advantage.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role is essential as a primary point of contact with the client and an integrated team member working alongside other members of the team


General Qualification Skills and Experience:
